Zamfara – Vice President Namadi Sambo has said that the PDP would win the April 2011 general elections in the North-West, in spite of claims to the contrary by the opposition.
Sambo stated this in Bakura at the commencement of Gov. Umaru Shinkafi’s electioneering campaign on Thursday .
He said that the PDP remained the only credible party that had the interest of Nigerians at the top of its agenda.
The vice president, represented by his Special Adviser in Legal Matters, Alhaji Bashir Safiyanu, noted that states under the PDP had sufficient achievements to display as credentials for re-election.
He urged the electorate not to be deceived by mouth- watering promises that could not be fulfilled by the opposition.
According to him, they should rather come out enmasse to vote for the ruling party in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Sambo stated that PDP was the only party that could take Nigeria to the promised land.
