MIRROR BOY PREMIERE ROCKS LONDON - A NOLLYWOOD BREAKTHROUGH

Genevieve Nnaji at the Mirror Boy Premiere - Leicester Square

It was pandemonium on the 24th of february, 2011 at the London Premiere of the Nollywood film The Mirror Boy as fans and movie aficionados clambered to enter the sold out venue. The Empire stands in the heart of London’s West end and has hosted some of the greatest performers in the entertainment world.




The Mirror boy is the first African Movie ever to grace west end screens and has raised the bar for future producers and film makers. The 1,000 seat arena was completely filled up while hundreds of adoring fans left disappointed as they were unable to purchase tickets and gain entry. The star’s were all present and got on stage to give thanks and speeches. The line up included Genevieve Nnaji, Osita Ohiheme, Fatima Jabbe (Gambian) , Edward Kagutuzi (Ugandan), John Charles Njei (Gambian) and a few others. Genevieve , Osita and Edward were given a standing ovation as they mounted the stage to give their speeches. Genevieve Nnaji, wore a body hugging short dress confirmed that it was undoubtedly the biggest premiere she had ever attended.
