2face opens up on wearing his wedding ring

The other day, Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, disclosed that he rarely wears his ring for fear of losing it while on set.

On the other hand, Music super star, 2face Idibia, when asked about his in a recent interview with NET stated thus:

“O boy, you know how many times I don forget am for my house? Dem go con carry am come meet me bros see your wedding ring. Sometimes I’m somewhere and I don’t even think about it and then someone makes a comment about it and I realize I’m wearing it or not.”

Brazilian rapper shot dead on stage while performing (photo + graphic video)

This is so sad!

A popular 20 year old Brazilian funk artist/rapper, MC Daleste, was shot dead while performing at a live show last Saturday July 6th in the Brazilian city of Capinas.

According to reports, MC Daleste, whose real name was Daniel Pellegrine, was performing at a public housing project when he was shot in the stomach by at least one bullet from an unknown gunman.

8-month old baby stabbed 90 times with scissors by his mother

How can a mother be this heartless?

An incident that left many people shocked happened in Xuzhou, in the eastern China Jiangsu province yesterday.

Eight months old Xiao Bao was stabbed 90 times in the face with scissors by his mother for biting her while she was breastfeeding him.

After the attack, the mother disappeared leaving the infant in a pool of his blood in the yard of their home.

Xiao was found by his uncle who rushed him to the hospital.

The mother, who has since been arrested, is not known to be suffering any kind of mental illness.

T.B Joshua takes over a football club in Ghana

Reports claim that the General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua is diversifying into the business of football.

It was gathered that TB Joshua is close to completing a take-over of Wassaman United football club and it is believed he plans to change the name of the club to Emmanuel Stars FC.

Footy-ghana.com understands that this is the second time Prophet T.B. Joshua has attempted to get a stake in Ghana football, but in the first instance, an attempt to set up a second division side fell through.

The site however, confirmed that Prophet T.B. Joshua will complete the Wassaman United takeover within the next few days.

Oh well…

Governor Okorocha Finally Sacks Nkiru Sylvanus

The governor of Imo State, Rochas Ewelle Okorocha has finally sacked Nollywood actress, Nkiru Sylvanus from his cabinet. The light-skinned 'cry cry' actress was sacked by the governor yesterday at the state executive council meeting held in the state capital.

Nkiru wasn't the only sacked aide of the governor as all others too were removed from office, including the state commissioners.

Nkiru served as a Special Assistant to the governor. She was first given the mandate to oversee matters concerning Imo indegenes in Lagos State before her redeployment to Owerri, which is the state capital.

Her appointment raised issues as some people speculated that she got the job because she gives the governor a 'special service'. The actress is not from Imo State but Abia, as we gathered.

FRENCH TRAIN DERAILMENT PREDICTED BY TB JOSHUA

As news hit international media on Friday 12th July 2013 that at least six people had died in a tragic train derailment in France, a YouTube video has been released stating that the accident was predicted many months earlier by a Nigerian tele-evangelist.

The talented and rich music group gave out the amount as part of the N16million needed by OJB Jezreel to undergo the treatment.

OJB Jezreel, according to recent reports, has about eight to 10 weeks to undergo the kidney transplant.

From the prison, the first port of call was T.B. Joshua’s place.

When interviewed, Prophet T.B Joshua's answered as written below.

ANSWER: I got to know him many years ago when a petition was addressed to General Bamaiyi who was the then Chairman of the NDLEA. As you know, several efforts had been made by my detractors to bring me and my ministry down. One of those efforts was that petition. I was arrested for investigation and it was later discovered that it was a tissue of lies.

The Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal, Friday, overruled the death sentence handed to Major Hamza Al-Mustapha and Alhaji Lateef Shofolahan on January 30, 2012, by Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos High Court in Igbosere.

According to the presiding judge, Justice Rita Pemu “the lower court stroked to secure a conviction by all means.” The appellate court therefore discharged and acquitted the duo of conspiracy and murder of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, 45, who was shot in Lagos on June 4, 1996.

The three female appellate court justices that discharged and acquitted Al-Mustapha and Shofolahan are Justice Rita Pemu (presiding), Justice Amina Adamu Augie and Justice F. O. Akinbami. Justice Augie was drafted into the panel following the decision of Justice Ibrahim Saulawa who disqualified himself from hearing the appeal.

Black Face and Tuface

The rift between Blackface and Tuface has been further exposed to the outside as it now spreads on social media as wide fire.
Former member of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz, Blackface, seems to be ready for a showdown with another former member of the group, 2Face Idibia over the controversial hit song, 'African Queen,' which the former claimed he co-wrote with the latter.

Blackface is insisting that he also has a share in the glory and therefore is entitled to whatever revenue 2Face earns from the song. Though 2Face Idibia has been taking credit for the hit song, which was used as a soundtrack for a Hollywood movie, Phat Girlz, released in 2006, and which featured American star, Mo'Nique, Blackface has now cried out that he is also part of the song.

But why it took him this long to voice out is what many still question. Shortly after the Plantashun Boiz broke up, the relationship between the duo was still intact, and it was believed that only Face had a strained relationship with the other members of the group.

The strain in the relationship between Blackface and 2Face became obvious during the April 2013 wedding of the latter in Dubai, which the former didn't attend. When asked by a follower on Twitter why he was not at 2Face's wedding in Dubai, which was attended by Face, Blackface simply replied that he doesn’t go to where he is not invited.

Blackface's response raised questions and confirmed that the two erstwhile friends might not be on speaking terms. Speaking with Channels TV some days ago, Blackface stated that he was yet to receive any money from 2Face despite his incessant cry on the matter.

“I still haven't (received any payment from 2Face) because they have to backdate it, they have to check the revenues of the music, what it has generated, what is due to the co-writer and all that, all those things are just still hanging, but I still have one or two things that I am doing to find out what the issue behind all these stuffs are,” the singer said.

Mercy Johnson and Tonto Dikeh obviously have some bad blood between them and this won't be the first time Tonto has indirectly cursed Mercy on twitter.
Last year, she tweeted that the only actress she respects is Uche Jumbo and she has love for Rita Dominic. When a fan asked "What of Mercy Johnson"? Tonto replied "f#&k You."
To muddy the waters again, Tonto recently dropped this tweet:

Ailing OJB thanks Gov Amaechi, other donors

In an unprecedented move, Governor Rotimi Amaechi surprised ailing singer and producer OJB Jezreel with a donation of $100,000 on the eve of the singer’s birthday, OJB hasn’t been able to thank him and other Nigerians who made donations enough.

“I really thank God for Governor Amechi’s kind heart. All I can say is that God will fight his battles as he saved my life. I also thank all Nigerians from all works of life who heeded my appeal for funds to go for my kidney transplant. God bless everyone.”

OJB is still undergoing dialysis at the Lagos State University Teaching Hopital LASUTH after which he will travel for his transplant abroad.

KABIRU SOKOTO DISOWNS BOKO HARAM

Kabiru Sokoto, suspected Madalla bomber at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The alleged mastermind of Christmas day bomb blast that killed about 44 persons and wounded 75 others at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State, in 2011, Kabiru Umar, a.k.a Kabiru Sokoto, yesterday, told a Federal High Court in Abuja that though he was a high profile member of the Islamic “Shurah Council” in Nigeria, he never joined the Boko Haram sect.

Sokoto, who testified as his own witness, told the court that though he initially had sympathy for the organisation, his elder brother whose name he gave as Suleiman Aliyu Sokoto, persistently warned him not to get himself involved with the sect.

WARRI— DELTA State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, yesterday, warned that he would not accept anybody putting pressure on him to negotiate for anything, whether elective or appointive positions in Warri North Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Uduaghan, who spoke at a stakeholders’ conference with leaders and representatives of Ijaw and Itsekiri ethnic groups to proffer solutions to the crisis that broke out, July 2, described the Egbema Radical Group, ERG, the militia responsible for the crisis as hooligans.

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Chike Ogeah, has denied reports that the Secretary to State Government, SSG, Mr. Ovuozorie Macaulay, castigated journalists in Warri for allegedly writing irresponsibly and escalating the crisis. Ogeah, who spoke on the crisis said: “I was there at the meeting. The SSG did not castigate the press that they are reporting irresponsibly. SSG will not do that. He did not do that.

Strategy to stop the fight

Meantime, Ijaw and Itsekiri leaders, who were at the stakeholders’ conference, corroborated the claim of the governor that the militia members were oil thieves and sea pirates.

Uduaghan said: “I am doing the best I can, but nobody, I repeat, nobody should put a gun on my head to negotiate for anybody. You will not blackmail me to negotiate, nobody has two heads. We all have one head each and you can decide to use your head positively or negatively.
